This is a course Melissa has taught for years, and is now offering in a more accessible format as four individual 1-hour sessions. 

It’s designed to empower you to SEE how to work with your parts using pen on paper techniques in the first class and get your questions answered! 

Then, in the following three classes, we’ll have shorter demonstrations and more time for YOU to practice the technique on yourself to develop Deeper Intimacy with Yourself (DIY) with IFS — so you leave this one-month experience with greater confidence to do your own work by yourself.

In this 4-week course, you’ll be guided to explore variations on using pen and paper scribbling to unblend step-by-step. You’ll also receive immediate feedback from Melissa and be inspired by your fellow IFS lovers— you’re not alone in this journey of Self-discovery!

Everything, including the demonstrations, is recorded so that if you miss a class, you’ll be able to access it easily afterwards. If you prefer not to be recorded, simply turn off your video so that it is not recorded. 

Due to the nature of safety concerns in a larger group, most of the live interaction, with the exception of the demonstrations and individual questions, will be through group chat. As someone who has participated in groups like this, I can attest that there is a benefit to chats — you can connect while also remaining safe in a larger setting.

Clarity about the difference between unblending and embodying parts 

Three approaches for how to creatively externalize parts using pen and paper: 

— stream-of-consciousness scribbles: how to map your parts by drawing 

— witnessing one part through creative expression: how to help parts be seen by drawing

— working with polarizations on paper: how to ’see’ polarizations using drawing 

About Melissa:

Melissa Sandfort has been an IFS Certified Practitioner since 2010. 

From 2002-2017, Melissa dedicated herself to learning IFS from the inside out, taking 20 IFS trainings with the Institute for Self-Leadership. Specifically: 

• 2 Level 1 IFS trainings 

• 5 Level 2 IFS trainings, including all 3 levels of Intimacy from the Inside Out 

• 13 Level 3 IFS trainings with Richard Schwartz 

With over 1,000 hours of in-person training with the founder of IFS, Richard Schwartz, and over 2,350 hours of IFS training including dozens of retreats and workshops, she has a depth of IFS training few can match! 

However, what truly sets her apart is her profound personal commitment to the practice of IFS in her own life. 

Building on a very solid foundation of IFS training, she has slowly increased her capacity to do IFS by herself, on herself, and now has a daily self-IFS practice of 2-3 hours of intensive IFS work on herself every day.
