In addition to being an Internal Family Systems Certified Practitioner, I also have extensive training in life coaching as well. I'm a graduate of two of the most highly respected coaching schools in the world—The Coaches Training Institute and The Center for Right Relationship (CRR Global). I am passionate about both of these schools, for different reasons. CTI supplied my foundation as a coach; CRR supplied my advanced training. From their websites, this is how these schools describe themselves:
The Coaches Training Institute: Co-Active Coaching
Co-Active Coaching has impacted the lives and careers of thousands around the world. It has led to CTI becoming the world’s first International Coaching Federation accredited coach training program, the most widely used text book in coaching, the largest number of certified coaches globally and a powerful, experiential leadership program that unlocks participants’ unique and natural leadership strengths.
CTI coaching holds that people are naturally creative, resourceful and whole – completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. The job of a Co-Active Coach® is to ask powerful questions, listen and empower to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses, rather than instruct or advise.
The Center for Right Relationship (CRR Global): Relationship Systems Intelligence
No matter what kind of work you do, you are always in relationship. Research has conclusively found that while IQ is the best indicator for educational status, Emotional Social Intelligence (ESI) seems to be the best determinant of one’s level of achievement and success in most professions and in marriage (Goleman 2006, Shoda, Mishel, & Peake 1990, Durlak & Weissberg 2007, Gottman 2002).
Relationship Systems Intelligence™ (RSI) includes and transcends Emotional Social Intelligence (ESI) pioneered by Daniel Goleman and others. RSI starts with an understanding of oneself, (Emotional Intelligence) moves on to include an understanding of other’s emotional experience (Social Intelligence) and culminates with the ability to identify with and collaborate with groups, teams, communities and other social systems (Relationship Systems Intelligence™).
